A compilation of my trend direction for clients
House of Turnowsky
At Jewel Branding, I often worked with clients seeking trend direction. Here is a sampling from the 2023 Trend Guide that I created for The House of Turnowsky, utilizing trend research curated for this client in the Home Decor, Stationery & Gift, and Kitchen & Tabletop markets. Each spread clearly identifies and defines the trend, and gives a color palette with Pantone matched colors. The spread below highlights the trend that was utilized for the wrapping paper.
Jewel Branding Artists
Jewel wanted to give their artists more regular trend direction. We initiated a schedule where I created trend reports each quarter and assigned a trend each month to the artists to focus on for their submissions. Below is a sample report.
Pink Light Trend Promos
Each week at Pink Light, I created trend promos which highlighted a trend they wanted to emphasize in their portfolio. I would create these trend collage mood boards for their email blasts and social media, which linked clients to their portfolio with easy access to the trend.
Mood Boards & Mockups
Here is a sampling of some trend mood boards that I created for Jewel. The one above and to the left were created when I was interviewing with Jewel and they asked me to pick two trends and use their portfolio to mockup some products to show off those trends.
The ones below are trend boards that I created to introduce these trends to Jewel's clients and point them to the trend specific art in their portfolio.
Here's an example how I took a trend mood board (which was sent in a Jewel Trend Blast) and turned it into a category specific trend board for Wall Art, which Jewel wanted to pitch to their wall art manufacturing clients.
Pink Light Studio
Pink Light liked to send several trend mood boards to their artists each week. They assigned the trends and I created mood boards that reflected the details of each trend including the vibe, the color palette and typography with a short description to inspire the artists. These were sent out weekly and also presented at staff meetings.
